I have never been much of a print girl, unless you count the butterfly dress I wore as a 7 year old until it was falling apart at the seams one summer. I have always found neutrals suited me best, until I started enjoying some of the new modern florals that have been popping up in the design world lately.
The thing I find most stressful about blogging is the pressure to always be coming up with new content. Some months I have a constant stream of ideas, while others I feel uninspired. Here a few things I do when I am in a creative rut.
The weather is freezing in Los Angeles aka under 60 degrees! Angelenos are bundled up. But I needed a bit of a pick-me-up to beat that mid-winter slump, hence pink! For some reason, I find I shy away from feminine colors, but there is something chic and modern about a classic pale pink coat.
I am feeling that little bit of buzz for Spring in the air! It is actually "cold" in Los Angeles and has even been cooler here than East Coast temperatures this past week. But there is nothing like that first of hint of spring: sweet peas and lilacs, artichokes and asparagus at the farmers market. Bring it on!
The afternoon slump. More coffee, maybe something sweet? The instant gratification that comes from that temporary caffeine buzz or sugar rush. I make the opposite error of eating nothing between meals and come dinner time, hangry is an understatement.
A quick trip to New York last week was just what the doctor ordered. The weather was cool at first, but by the end of the week warmed up to 53 degrees and tough New Yorkers were barely wearing coats.
This is my everyday beauty routine, featuring the products I use everyday to get a natural, glowy look. Let me know what you think and subscribe to my channel for new videos!
This last weekend was my birthday, and a road trip to Big Sur was just what the doctor ordered. It's around 6 hours from Los Angeles, a totally doable day's drive. We stayed at The Post Ranch Inn for a weekend of relaxation, hiking, feasting, and breathtaking views!
A few winter favorites in the way of clothing, food, and some skincare items!
While the idea of getting all dressed up is certainly fun, picking out a new dress, I have more recently been enjoying taking a minute to be at home, cooking, reading, and decompressing. This New Year's will be spent by the fire in some cozy layers, drinking champagne, and nibbling on my fondue board.
