California Jean, baby
If I was forced to choose one thing to wear for the rest of my life, the answer would most definitely be: a good pair of jeans. LA is a vast and casual sea of denim, the prominent wardrobe staple for most Californians. A business suit or god forbid a necktie looks out of place and is best left to the talent agents on Avenue of the Stars. But ultimately any good wardrobe begins with the blue jean. One of my longtime favorite brands is AG, they have come out with some really cool and modern styles for Spring/Summer. I am especially loving this high rise pair with the light destruction and raw hem, which makes pairing with a crop top easy and not too exposed. I am loving these sandals which are a much less expensive version ($80!) of the Hermes and Saint Laurent ones.
Lastly, I need to discuss these peonies! Yes it is peony season, it has become quite a thing with the birth of Instagram. I grew up with a gardener mother who produced the most beautiful, large peonies you have ever seen and for years I had to be a bit disappointed with the much smaller varieties that you could get out here. Until now! These gorgeous fat headed, pale pink beauties happen to be from Italy and have continued to get bigger and bigger as the days pass!
