Sephora Friends and Family was a success, I picked up some items I had been wanting to try for a long time. Here is the damage:
Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Activating Oil- I am absolutely loving this. If you are looking to add something into your skincare, look no further. This is made with 100% pure rose hip oil, vitamins A and C, and Omegas 3-6-9. It brightens, repairs, and makes skin look healthy, but the bonus is, it heals any existing scars or marks, this has definitely helped the overall tone of my skin.
Makeup Forever Invisible HD Foundation($42)- I had this on my list after trying a generous sample, I am loving how blendable and perfecting this is. If you find the right color for you, this might end up being your Holy Grail of foundations. I really like using my hands to massage this into the skin. This is truly invisible!
Diorific Golden Winter Collection Lipstick in 046 Minuit($36)- First of all, this collection had me sold at first sight because it is is inspired by the gilded, golden decor of Versailles. This lip color in Minuit is stunning, described as a deep fuschia with shimmer, you really have to see this on to understand how gorgeous it is. Look at the packaging alone! Now that is a lipstick you will be finding any excuse to pull out of your purse to reapply. (Look for an upcoming tutorial using this on my YouTube channel HERE, subscribe to be the first ones to see).
Dolce & Gabbana Intenseyes Mascara($32)- This was on a recommendation from blogger Tayler of Well-Taylered. I seem to have very similar taste to her so I bought this without a lot of research. It is very black and smoldering, I will report back when I have given it a fair trial.
Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencil($32)- I really enjoy Hourglass products and had just ran out of my Anastasia Brow Pencil, this one has a bigger angled twist up pencil. It also combines powder and wax for a 2-in-1, fills in brows, while grooming them into place. I really am enjoying the ease of using this.
Laura Mercier Baked Eyeshadows($23)- I have to say I was disappointed by the Artist Palette in person, there were too many purples in it for my liking, but I had been wanting to try these baked shadows as well. I LOVE the colors: Cameo is a tawny pink-brown and in combination with Hot Chocolate, a warm, soft brown, this makes for a lovely eye look. I will be posting a picture on Instagram in the next day or two, so you can see how they look on. Follow me @caitlinconfidential.
I also made Sephora VIB Rouge status aka you spend way too much money at Sephora, but you do get some fun perks. Leave me a comment if you ended up picking anything up in the sale, would love to hear!
